The 2026 North Alabama Scottish Festival & Highland Games will be held at Point Mallard Park, 2901 Point Mallard Cir SE, Decatur, AL 35601, on March 14th - 15th, 2026.

Question 2: 🎟️ How do I get tickets?

Tickets are available online using the ticket link or at the gate. ($12 for 13 and older) - (ages 6-12 are $6) (Ages 5 and under are free). There is no charge for parking.

Question 3: 💪 What are the Highland Games?

The Highland Games are traditional Scottish athletic events that test strength, skill, and endurance — including the Caber Toss, Stone Put, Hammer Throw, and more. Athletes from across the country come to compete and carry on centuries of Scottish tradition!

Question 4: 🎶 What kind of entertainment can I expect?

You’ll enjoy live music, bagpipe bands, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly performances throughout the day. The festival blends heritage, art, and community into one unforgettable experience.

Absolutely! We’ll have a full lineup of local food vendors, plus beverages for all ages. From fish & chips to classic pub fare and sweet treats — you won’t leave hungry!

Yes! This is a family event filled with activities for all ages. Kids can enjoy the children’s area, fun cultural games, and plenty of open space to explore.

Question 7: 🐶 Can I bring my dog?

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at the festival! Please clean up after your pets and ensure they’re comfortable with crowds and loud sounds (bagpipes, drums, and cheers!).

Question 8: 🧵 Do I have to be Scottish to attend?

Not at all! Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re celebrating your heritage or simply curious about Scottish culture — this event is for you.

You can visit Clan Tents, shop artisan vendors, learn about genealogy, and take part in cultural workshops. There’s something for everyone!

Yes — there will be on-site and overflow parking available at Point Mallard Park. Parking attendants will be on hand to guide guests as they arrive. (Parking Is Free)

Question 11: What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 9:00 a.m. with opening ceremonies and the first competitions starting shortly after. We recommend arriving early to catch the full experience and find the best viewing spots!

Question 15: What Am I allowed to bring?

Lawn chairs or blankets. No personal tents or canopies are to be erected. There are no personal coolers allowed inside the festival boundaries.

Question 16: Am I allowed re-entry once I leave?

You will be allowed re-entry as long as you keep your arm band on.
